We’re looking for a UX Designer who wants to be a part of our design and front-end team at Fornebu, just outside Oslo, Norway. Your job will consist of designing and developing new and existing features in our cyber security solution. Together with our physical security department, you will also get the opportunity to shape our unified security solution.
A side of cyber security that hasn’t received a lot of attention until now has been challenges around insider threats. At Ava, we are taking this problem seriously, and our goal is to make the world’s best platform for revealing and acting on insider threats. An insider threat is a person with privileged access to your network and data, who has either been tricked into giving third party actors access or who him- or herself is behaving negligently, or has dishonest and malicious intentions.
Our platform is continuously gathering vast amounts of information, and it will be your responsibility to offer this information to the end user in an effective and user-friendly way.
While helping companies reveal insider threats, it is important to remember to develop any solution in an ethical way, with a focus on privacy and legislation.

Even though you’re not expected to be an artistic graphic designer, it is an advantage if you have a solid understanding of layout, compositions, colors, and typography to be able to deliver designs of high graphical quality. It’s also an advantage if you have some experience with programming in a design context, like for creating interactive prototypes. If you have experience working with and visualizing large data sets, that’s also considered a plus.
